Since that day in December when Russell Brand announced to the world that he was divorcing his wife Katy Perry she has gone from strength to strength.
As the starlet readies the release of her movie Katy Perry: Part Of Me, she sat down to have an intimate chat with late night chat show host Jay Leno.
In the interview she revealed that she made sure she didn't miss out anything in the feature length film which chronicles her music career and life.

With her hair swept to one side and wearing a figure hugging navy dress decorated with red flowers, she told Jay Leno that she felt she had to include scenes which showed her dealing with the breakdown of her marriage otherwise the film would skip over an event that has helped her become who she is today.
She said: 'I think that if you went to see the movie and it was completely avoided you come out of that theatre going, "Hmmm...That's strange, I know something else did happen at that time in her life last year."'
She then went on to say that she believes she handled the collapse of her 14-month union with 'the most integrity' in the film.
'I wanted to handle it very delicately with the most integrity I could possibly have and show people that like "Look yeah I'm going through some of the same situations that half of America goes through", and somehow I landed on my feet and you don't have to lay down and die even if you feel like you're going to.'

Now at her 'highest point': The 27-year-old told that people who watch the film will see her at her 'lowest point'
When asked by the host if she had a hard time deciding whether or not to film the aftermath of the news that Brand had filed for divorce she admitted that it was harder to watch the scenes back.
However she explained that she felt it was necessary for people to see her at her 'lowest point' in order for her story to be relatable.
The 27-year-old told Leno: 'It wasn't always exciting to watch those unflattering scenes where I'm crying and having an intense moment'.
She continued, 'But I think that people will relate to the movie even more seeing me at my lowest point and now at my highest point.'

During the interview Katy also showed off the heart shaped 3D glasses she designed for film.
Prior to her appearance on the chat show she uploaded a picture to her Twitter page showing off another pair of 3D glasses she created.
The caption which accompanied the picture read: 'EXCLUSIVE #KP3D FAN SNEAK PEEKS JULY 2ND ONLY! B the 1st & get these purty pastel 3D specs!'
And on arrival to the studio to film the interview in Burbank, wearing a pair of colourful Ray-Ban sunglasses Katy Perry stopped outside to take pictures with some of her fans.
